The National Gallery of the Marche is preparing to complete the restoration and reinstallation works on the piano nobile of the Ducal Palace in Urbino.
On June 17th, the rooms involved in the final phase of the project—the Throne Hall and the Melaranci Apartment—will reopen to the public.
From 12 March to 13 July, however, Raphael’s works will not be on view. The Portrait of a Lady, better known as “La Muta,” and the small Saint Catherine will be on display at the MET in New York as part of the exhibition Raphael: Sublime Poetry.
The same exhibition will also feature the Holy Martyr by Giovanni Santi.
